I’ve been learning German with Mr. Radosław for more than a year and a half. I think that the length of our lessons together speaks to my satisfaction with them. Because I had decided to move to Germany, I was looking for a Polish teacher who, in my native language, could help me remember and systematize the basics of the language. I then planned to go to a language school and continue learning the standard way. I changed plans, however, when I saw how professionally prepared the lessons were and how different they were from typical foreign language classes. I always receive the materials for the lessons, which are in different formats (pdf, doc, jpg, mp3), in advance, so I have time to get familiar with the topics and get prepared for conversation. The topics are diverse and have nothing in common with the cookie-cutter lessons served up in school. After every lesson, I receive a file summarizing the lesson and the mistakes I made. Since the materials for the lessons are in different file formats, I can come back to a specific topic in any free moment. No more stacks of photocopies and books – I only need my phone or laptop. Before this, I had never encountered this way of running lessons, but I think it’s a huge advantage to be able to have lessons with Mr. Radosław this way. I don’t have to point out that that online lessons save time because you don’t have to go to the lesson. That’s why I strongly recommend conversation with Mr. Radosław to everyone who wants effective and fun learning with an engaged and motivated teacher.
We’re good friends who decided to improve our miserable level of German to something resembling communication. Luckily, we found a professional teacher who respected our time and us – lessons were precisely planned, and the course was adjusted to our goals and learning speed. During the lessons, we did what we couldn’t do by ourselves – speak, test new vocabulary and grammar in practice, have our questions explained. Before the lessons, you need to do the preparatory material, which is sent earlier; otherwise, the lesson is a waste. The course of the lesson assumes mastery of the material – which is very motivating! The materials used are much more interesting than what you find in a typical textbook.
At the beginning, we were skeptical of having lessons on Skype. Now, we do all lessons like this – it saves a ton of time on getting there, and for us, it made it possible to continue learning together in completely different places in Poland without the lessons losing anything.
Learning in a two-person group is a great idea, especially since it gives you the chance to do better work outside of the classroom. You can review the materials from the lesson, explain to each other any questions, motivate each other (because a little rivalry never hurts!), and at the end, you can do a short „warm-up” conversation before lessons to switch your language thinking to German. Skype makes all of this easier; we use this method regularly.
Since we wanted to check our level of German, we decided to take the B2 exam; we managed to get decent results, even though we had only reached B1 in the lessons. Now, we’re learning for fun.

Learning a new language remotely, it works!
These lessons are well structured which helps a lot to keep our focus in learning a new language and doing it efficiently.
After few lessons, we can see the difference, we become more confident to talk, more familiar with the new language and conscious about next steps ahead.
The material is provided beforehand which allows us to become familiar with the next lesson subject.
Then, during the lesson, we perform dialogues and exercises which allows us to construct solid knowledge, following an adaptive path accordingly with our progress.
When the lesson is finished, we receive a file with the summary which contains the highlights about what we shall improve or recall.
This is a good approach because during the lesson we don’t need spend time to write down all relevant points and we keep our attention on the exercises.
